Two today, Three tomorrow

It's hard to believe that THREE is here!  I'm just not ready!
Emery Ashlyn you are ready and you are "growing so big" just like you tell me each day you discover something that you can do all by yourself.

It was just yesterday that I was anxiously awaiting your arrival and then your daddy and I got to meet your sweet face. Tiny and precious, I was hoping you'd always stay this way.

But today your two and tomorrow you'll be THREE!
You are so sweet, caring and gracious.  You are independent and daring with a little bit
a lot of sass.  You are a wonderful little sister, a good friend and still the most precious daughter.

You tell your mommy "You're my beary best friend" and you love to cuddle.
You're girly and playful and you always have a smile on your face.

You love anything Minnie Mouse and can't get enough of the many Disney Princesses.  You tell me about your day at school and share things with mommy like who you played with and what you colored.

You are mommy's little helper and daddy's little princess.
You are THREE!
Enjoy your special day daughter, we love you!

 Happy 3rd Birthday Emery!

Disney on Ice

"Surprise!!  We are going to Disney on Ice!"  This is what we got to say to the girls as we walked into the US Airways Center yesterday.  I think they were speechless and so excited of course.  Every year my parents used to take me to Disney on Ice; I still remember today how much I loved it!  I was so excited to start the tradition with our girls!

These faces say it all!!  And those snow cones were a huge hit!

Daddy and his girls!  He was super excited too, can't you tell?!

All of our favorites were there, even Mickey and Minnie!

It was a great afternoon and the girls were blown away!  Can't wait to do it again next year!

Merry Christmas 2012

It's crazy…it's Christmas Eve!!  The house smells wonderful, the presents are wrapped, Emery has watched The Grinch 3 times today and we are ready to frost our sugar cookies in our Christmas PJ's tonight.

BUT most of all we are happy, healthy and together!  It has been such a wonderful holiday season filled with fun memories, friends, family and our favorite traditions.

Tomorrow we will celebrate the birth of Jesus and share with our little ones he is the reason for this season!

Our family wishes you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

Long weekend

Well it's official…the holidays are here and the days are flying by faster than I can gather myself to catch my breath and share them on our family blog!  There is just so much to post but we'll start this with our CRAZY weekend!

It started Friday at the girl's school.  It's a tradition that the preschoolers dress up and parade around the school while the older kiddos pass out candy.  I went to help out this year so I was able to snap a few photos and see Emery with all of her adorable preschool friends.

We even got to go by Akira's class and stopped for a photo op!

After the parade it was back to class for some 'streamer dancing!'  What a cool idea- why haven't I thought of this?!

Then there came the mess (see the floor- it only got worse!)…and I remembered why I love that Emery gets to do fun things like this at school! :)

She also got her first report card…

I'm not sure if you can see but there's 1 check mark and that's means developing scored for 'taking off your coat.'  I'm thinking that's not even fair considering we live in the desert and it's still 88 degrees in the last week of October!

Saturday we did gym as usual.  Emery was at her finest- catch her if you can!

Ta-Da!

Then that afternoon we got all dressed up for family photos.  Not your typical family photos where you hire a photographer but the ones where you bring the tripod, some candy and hope you can get at least one shot for Christmas cards, family photos.

We had picked a spot in downtown Phoenix near the historical district a few weeks ago and were excited about the potential in the area, that was until we arrived and saw that there was a Zombie Festival/ Walk!! What?! Seriously, of all days!

People were so in character…it was scary! Akira's going to be a zombie prom queen for Halloween so she was looking for ideas but Emery was not too thrilled.  Poor baby it's a good thing I had the candy to distract her.

We were able to take a few shots and I think we're pretty happy with the results.  Here's a sneak peek but you'll have to wait till Christmas for the rest! :)

Sunday came and went as we attended an Autism walk for my work and then did some house chores.  No pictures to show, you probably wouldn't enjoy us in our cleaning wear! :)

I hope this post wasn't too exhausting for you all. This mom is officially pooped!
